HRM SOCIETY HOLDS SEMINAR ON HEALTHY FOOD PREPARATION (SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER, 2016)
The Hotel and Restaurant Society, in coordination with the Community Development and Advocacy Center, conducted a seminar on preparation of healthy and nutritious yet affordable food for the family at Barangay Immaculate Conception from September-November, 2016.
The program was aimed at helping parents how to make their dishes look more attractive to their children to boost their appetite, to prepare healthy meal for the family at a low cost and to inform the parents of an upcoming feeding program in their community. The program was conceived in consideration of the fact that there are a lot of malnourished children in the community.
The program was primarily designed to teach parents how to maintain proper nutrition for their children. The organizers hope that the feeding program will help the children achieve their normal Body Mass Index (BMI) which varies according to their age, weight, and height.
